a work in sound • sound art by Laura Maes, sounds performed by Vasco DelnesteLaura Maes
These are the sounds of Vasco Delneste, recorded by artist Laura Maes in 2010. No sounds are electronically processed or altered, and not a single sound is used twice, even though some sound similar. Maes structures them electronically: they paint a portrait that is simultaneously deeply human and unearthly.

A work in sound • artist: Melanie Chilianis (with the voice of Michael Chang)Melanie Chilianis
The piece MCVox by Melanie Chilianis was initially part of Danish artist Michael Chang’s collaborative exhibition Fragments (Arnot Art Museum, New York State, April 2011). It uses vocal sources from Melanie Chilianis and Michael Chang in various degrees of intelligibility and duration. It was made during a particularly bad phase of chronic illness (migraine and epileptic seizures), when everyday communication was often difficult and visual and aural perceptions were distorted.
